Reduce Risk of Diabetic Nerve Damage

There is a new treatment on the horizon that has researchers working overtime. It is a little-known yet powerful antioxidant called alpha-lipoic acid, found naturally in yeast, spinach, potatoes, broccoli, and organ meats like liver.
In clinical trials, lipoic acid improved neuropath symptoms in diabetics. It may even help lower blood sugar. In addition, as an antioxidant, it fights premature hardening of the arteries thereby lowering a diabetic's risk of heart disease.
