High Animal Protein Diet

  • Proteins from animal sources promote higher cholesterol levels than proteins from plant sources.

  • High-animal protein digest allows more dangerous chemical carcinogens into our cells and facilitates the process by which these carcinogens are transformed by enzymes then bound to our DNA, creating cancer. Plant protein has shown to inhibit these processes.

  • Animal protein is found to promote high levels of insuline-like growth factor which in turn has been found to be a predictor of certain cancer.

  • Diet high in animal protein has shown to exacerbate the formation of kidney stones and draw calcium out of the bones, encouraging osteoporosis.
Diet from a rich variety of vegetables, legumes, and whole grains have the ability to prevent and sometimes even treat the conditions including heart disease, certain cancers, kidney stones, and osteoporosis.

Hot Dogs!

I thought this is really important to share with all of you.
It's especially important not to let children eat hot dogs and other processed meats.
One study found that children who eat more than 12 hot dogs per month have nine times the normal risk of developing childhood leukemia.
Another study found that children who eat hot dogs one or more times per week have a higher risk of developing brain cancer and that children whose mothers ate hot dogs during pregnancy are associated with an excess risk of childhood brain tumors.
If hot dogs are a favorite in your household, please switch to brands that say "nitrite-free" or "nitrate-free" on the label. Also, there is nitrite-free bacon, ham, sausage, and luncheon meat.
